Just average at best. They made the pizza fresh when I ordered, but was not as good as I expected. Food was on the level of a chain pizza shop.

The Pier 49 in St. George has been bought and sold many times over the last 5 or 6 years but has somehow maintained its quality. The Pizza is awesome. The sourdough crust is moist and chewy, the toppings are fresh and plentiful, and the service is good. I'm not a fan of the decor or atmosphere of the restaurant though. It is a cheesy San Francisco theme. I know it is because of the Pier 49 Sourdough, blah blah blah, I still don't like it. They have great lunch deals and have Apple Beer on the soda fountain. It is one of my favorite pizza places in town.

Pizza was just ok. She wanted pizza to bring back to hotel and this was all we could find open. The crust is sourdough which is nice change but too thick and didn't balance well with sauce and cheese. As someone used to thin crust this was way too heavy! Too heavy for her too as she only ate main part of pizza and she usually loves crust! The people who took our order weren't very friendly and seemed bothered to answer questions and take our order but the girl who brought us our pizza did so with a smile and was helpful with what we needed.

I went here today and got the 2 slice lunch special. My friend got the lunch buffet. My friend got 2 more slices after I finished mine and he ate one but said I could have the other because he probably wouldn't be able to eat it. I gladly ate it thinking I should've got the 3 slice special since I was still a little hungry. The lady working who I believe is the co owner or owners wife came over and harangued me about it. It was incredibly unprofessional and made me upset that she would rather he threw it away because either way he was too full to finish. He even had half of his existing slice left but by that point I elected not to eat it for fear of being harassed again about it. Apparently eating each other's leftovers is unacceptable in this restaurant. I recommend going to one of the many other delicious pizza joints in town such as riggattis where you will not be met with poor service but rather relaxed and friendly owners who bend out of their way to make you a satisfied customer. I got up and paid her the $1.50 for the slice of pizza out of respect and left. It's too bad that pissing off the Yelp Duke of their restaurant is worth that $1.50. It's quite unlikely that 1.50 is going to be worth it in the long run after you guys lose business from customers who read this review. The icing on the cake is that I got slightly sick from the food and felt pretty gross later that evening.

Staying at a hotel across the street and not feeling like driving, I wandered across the street for a little dinner. Other than a young couple sitting in a table I was the only other customer. Strange being that it was after 6pm the Mexican restaurant next door was quite busy. Standing at the counter, at one point, I looked to the back to see if there was anyone working the register/taking orders. Not annoyed initially by no one being up front since I needed to decide, I did have some questions and waited for someone to eventually come forward. Ordering a house salad and chicken wings, pretty simple right...should be a relatively quick order...wrong. The salad I received immediately as it was premade in the refrigerator. Rather pricy for lettuce, a sprinkling of pizza toppings (mozzarella, a few slices of black olive, a pepperoni slice and a tomato wedge). At least there was a basketball game on to bide the time between the salad and my chicken wings. The wings finally arrived. They were not tossed in a sauce...the sauce is baked on them or already coats them before being cooked like Tyson frozen hot wings. [Honestly I could have picked up a full bag of american salad and a bag of 20 or so chicken wings at the Albertson's up the street and gone to my room and used the microwave there and had the same dinner for less time and $]. Maybe their pizza is better but I won't go back to check.

Not worth your money. Good bit great. We ordered the jumbo was incredibly disappointed with the size and how much we paid.

I ordered the gluten free pizza. Crust was soft and gooey. Topping were tasty and fresh, but I would not recommend ordering the gluten free if you like your crust crispy. Also, it was expensive.

We were the only ones here on Saturday night. Girl who took the order seemed bored but the pizza came in reasonable time and it was good. No problems with the food.

Love their pizza! They actually remembered me from the last time I was there, 3 months ago! While they have help from a computer I am sure, it was a nice touch. Pizza is always delicious. Love the sour dough taste!! They have great vegetarian options!

I was totally craving pizza tonight for dinner, and luckily this place was just across the street from the motel I was staying at. I had me a personal Alcatraz pizza which was extremely tasty! Plenty of choices on the menu to satisfy anyone on pizza night. Not a huge pizza place, but enough room to accomodate around 50 people at a time I'd say. I do believe there is wifi at this spot, as it did show up on my phone, but I didn't ask for a passcode to see if it was for customers.

On vacation in St George and we all decided to find some gourmet pizza instead of heading to Dominoes or Pizza Hut. I happened to find this place on yelp and from the menu it looked decent enough. I must say that from the pictures it looks like this is deep dish pizza but it's not. For 6 people, we ordered 3 large pizzas: Cable Car: okay but not the best of the three. Need to dip this in ranch and I felt the meat was a bit well done. Garlic Festival: lacked garlic flavor for being a garlic pizza. Nob Hill: could have been better but not enough flavor. Overall I don't think we found a gourmet pizza restaurant. Definitely a couple notches above Pizza Hut or Dominoes but not on my list of pizza parlors to revisit anytime soon. All of the pizzas were very bland. Each of the pizzas were roughly $20.

We came here while on vacation and I wanted to try something new. We got a bacon, chicken and ranch dressing pizza and it was pretty decent. My wife tried the gluten free crust and enjoyed it. I didn't try a more traditional type of pizza but I don't know that I would have liked it with the sourdough crust but we liked what we ordered.

Food hasn't arrived yet but the service has been GREAT so far. This was a nice play that served a good pie. Not blown away, but not knocking them either. Good food.

We happened to drive by this place on a visit to St. George and decided to check it out. It's a fairly small place. We were greeted by the owner who took our order and made and delivered our food. We got the Trolley pizza and a create your own pizza. Both were really good and not skimpy on the toppings. The crust is thick (I usually prefer thin crust) but still good. The only negative I could say is for a place that advertises sourdough pizza crust, their crust was fairly bland. I was expecting more flavor from a sourdough crust. Overall, though, despite being a thick crust it still had a nice crunch to it and was not greasy at all. I would definitely eat here again. Their fountain beverage machine had apple beer in it which my husband and my father both enjoyed immensely.

I don't usually like to go to chain restaurants, but I decided to try this place anyway. The pizza was good. I'd say it was slightly better than Pizza Hut or Papa John's pizza. I wouldn't really say its gourmet, but it was cheap so I can't complain.

Pier 49 San Francisco Sourdough Pizza is a really great place to eat! It's located only a couple of blocks off of Hwy 15 in St. George. We came in with a group of 5 and were greeted by a friendly staff person who explained all the menu items to us. He also explained that the restaurant offers a gluten-free pizza to those who desire it, as well as vegetarian options. The menu offered a lot of variety, including a "Something for Everyone" pizza for those who can't agree. The pizzas are all named after San Francisco landmarks. We ordered the Lombard Street, which is a BBQ chicken pizza and the Alcatraz, which is a supreme pizza. Both were fantastic! The crust is especially good and not at all greasy. This is seriously good pizza! The menu included 15 different pizzas and a Design-your-own option. They also offer appetizers, salads, sandwiches and dessert pizzas. For those wanting delivery, they offer that, too. The pizzas can be ordered in several sizes and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant was super clean, including the bathrooms. The environment is warm and friendly. They offer both booster seats and high chairs for families. I highly recommend Pier 49 San Francisco Sourdough Pizza!
